Which flavour should I pick?
Classic is the thekua we have always made. Saunf Elaichi adds saunf (fennel) and elaichi (cardamom).
Is it too sweet?
Thekua has a mild, natural sweetness, not the sharp sweetness of packaged sweets or biscuits. The jaggery variant has an earthy, rounded sweetness from pure jaggery. The sugar variant is slightly lighter in sweetness. Both are balanced enough for daily snacking without feeling heavy.

Jaggery is less processed than white sugar and contains trace minerals. However, its glycemic index (around 84) is higher than that of white sugar (around 65), meaning it can raise blood sugar levels quickly.
